IMBuildings LoRaWAN People Counter – White

The IMBuildings People Counter is designed to count the total number of passing a point in each direction.

Suitable for office and retail spaces, the Sensor provides frequent sampling every 15 minutes (or as needed) providing the number of people entering or leaving a given point.  Totals are provided for the duration of the sample period (15minutes) alongside the total number since the Sensor was first connected.  The unit ideally for counting people during current restrictions.

REQUIRES four AA Batteries

Battery-powered (for up to 3 years), the Sensor comprises two units to be placed opposite each other such as on each side of a doorway.  A commissioning mode provides a visual indicator that both units are fully aligned, pointing at each other and at the same height.  Once positioned, the sensors then communicate with each other and determine the direction and counter of travel

The Sensors utilise version 1.0.1 of the LoRaWAN standards with the newer LoRaWAN standard v1.0.3 expected early in 2021.   The sensor works over the LoRaWAN network for Licence-free communication over either private or public LoRaWAN networks.  A fully CE certified device, configurable over NFC and easy re-calibration as required.

Our sensors are easy to deploy, with a range of mounting options and user-replaceable batteries offering wire-free installation. They are powered by four standard AA battery. The Battery life is estimated to be up to 3 years but depends on sample interval, transmit interval, data rate, power output and environmental factors. All our IMBuildings sensors are equipped with NFC for easy configuration with an Android phone. With this NFC application, you can change sample rate, data rate, encryption keys, triggers, activation and much more. All of the sensors are built on the LoRaWAN stack from Semtech.

Configuration: All of the IMBuildings LoRaWAN Sensors can be self-configured using the IMBuildings NFC app privately available on request. We also offer pre-configuration of sensors and gateways to your choice of The Things Network, private LNS, IoT Platform or other services. Contact us for more information.

Frequency and Certification: All our sensors are CE certified, and available for any region including US902-928, EU863-870, AS923, AU915-928 and KR920-923. Deceleration of Conformity for EU, compliance with FCC Rules and Canada licence-exempt – available on request.

Batteries: Professional AA batteries are recommended given reliable performance across varying temperatures and humidity.   Transport restrictions for batteries may delay some shipments.
